The Submarine was built in November 2025. It was an installation measuring 144″ x 144″ x 78″ made of wood, chicken wire, spray paint, a coil mattress, a blanket and a bed frame.

The walls of the Submarine did not provide protection or privacy. The interior was visible from the outside. The installation had two windows: one transparent and the other one icy silver (that one could not be seen through). The windows had limited function. There were fans inside the structure, but they did not produce noticeable movement within the installation.

Inside the Submarine there was a human figure made out of mattress coils. The figure was placed on a mattress from which most of the coils have been removed. The coils that usually remain hidden inside a mattress were exposed and used as the primary material for the body.

The installation could be called an inhabited sculpture—yet this time its inhabitant was not a live performer but a coil human.
